OUR FLEXIBLE SHARE SYSTEM

your share of the harvest
Because we plant according to the needs of our members, it's essential that you enroll for a full season. We won't bore you with the behind-the scenes details of how we figure out the magic quantities of vegetables, but one way to think about how your farm share works is this:
-
At the seasonal level ~ You invest in the share size that fits for you and we plan and plant accordingly for the season. Your farm share = your portion of the season's bounty.
-
At the weekly level ~ You choose the veggies and quantities you want and we harvest according to your order. Your farm share = your portion of the weekly harvest.

pick the veggies you like to eat
At Full Table, we take the journey of eating locally and in season, together. Traditionally, CSAs do this by distributing a standard box of veggies selected by the farmers. But for us it's important that you receive food you love! We don’t want any veggies withering in the back of your refrigerator due to you not liking rutabagas or feeling uncertain how to prepare raddicco. That’s why your Full Table farm share lets you choose the veggies you want each week.
How we make the magic happen
Providing a customizable farm share means our farmers have the special challenge of making sure we grow the right amount of food to keep more than 90 members nourished all season long AND that you have a plenty of options to choose whatever you like. We’ve worked hard to create a system that makes this possible. This means we do a lot of fancy Farm Math each season to ensure that there is plenty of food in the field to keep you supplied with a diversity of veggie options all season long.

how to pace your ordering
In order to achieve the food-growing miracle of providing you steady consistency AND complete choice, we must leave one little piece of the math up to you--the pacing of your orders. We want you to have the freedom to order whatever you want and go out of town whenever you need, so we trust you keep track of how much of your seasonal share you've used. Here's what you'll want to to keep in mind:
-
Choose your quantities: You can order as little or as much as you like week to week, you'll just want to keep track of your ordering flow through the season.
-
Average units: The simplest way to pace your orders is to stick to the average unit size every week. If you choose the Veggie Eater share, that's an average of 4 units a week, for the Veggie Lover share, it's 6, and for the Family Share, 10.
-
Vacation: We know you'll probably have times when you're away from home, so we build two weeks "off" into your season share.
-
Zero balance: Your farm share is an investment for the season and does not roll over. This means there are no refunds at season's end or roll-overs to the next season.
-
Total credits: The software you order with each week shows you your total credits for the season, so you always know how much of your seasonal share you've used so far, and how much remains.
-
Extra Units: If you end up ordering more on average than the share size you invested, towards the end of the season depending on demand, you can top up your season investment to finish out the cycle. c
-
Pacing your orders: All of this to say, if you end up staying home and ordering every single week, you'll want to occasionally order less than the average units (or add some extra units if available) and if you're away from home for more than two weeks you'll want to order a little more than the average units (or gift a week of veggies to a friend!)
